The intervention of the National Security Adviser proved instrumental in resolving the impasse. Ribadu assured labor leaders that the government was committed to addressing their grievances and finding amicable solutions to the issues that sparked the strike. He further stated that the perpetrators of the attack on Nigeria Labour Congress chairman, Joe Ajaero, had been apprehended.
The suspension of the strike marks a positive step towards restoring normalcy and fostering continued dialogue between the government and organized labor. It is hoped that both parties will work collaboratively to address the underlying concerns that led to the strike and ensure a stable and productive working environment for all.
